This is the team that makes up Top of the World. Over 200 employees strong and growing to meet the needs of the headwear market.
In 1986, Pete Wilson began importing and selling collegiate headwear at University of Oklahoma football games. Building an importing and distributing company aimed at a national market, Pete continued to grow the company slowly and steadily throughout the last few decades with the sales of his fine college headwear, and the rest is history.
The passion and love in Scott’s life is defined by his family, golf and being a spectator at sporting events. When Scott was asked about what he wanted to include in his bio, his reply was “My favorite number is three. Why? Because when I was 12, I won a poker pot with 4 of a Kind 3s, and ever since then, I have loved the number three!” Scott Shuler, ladies and gentlemen. His motto? “Let’s go!”

Marvin Knight is more than just one of Top of the World’s founding fathers—he is the embodiment of our entire brand. He and Pete Wilson began this company in 1986 and haven’t looked back since. The initial start-up was tough going; Marvin was paid a measly $17.00 his first year in the company. Yet against all odds, he has risen through the ranks, reaching an iconic status. This salesman demigod-turned-Top of the World mascot made our company into the world’s largest collegiate headwear supplier. While Marvin spends his time nowadays reaping the benefits of a hard-earned retirement, he still manages to put in a phone call every week. When asked why he does this, Marvin replied, “Well if they answer then I know I’m still getting a paycheck.” And for that, Marvin, we thank you.
